Hello..I really enjoyed this video and I'm just trying to learn about jewelry making and haven't made anything yet, just a wire tree with little beads..I'm afraid of the jewelry turning..do you do this because the wire turns?? Can you just leave the piece untreated?? Or can you treat the wire first before making anything?? I would love your advice! Thank you!

I used small vice and same thinckness stick as jig for cutting. No need special pliers and can saw with downwards motion.

I keep junky, 'ugly' beads around that are sized to the bit of wire I need to make the loop. Works great for headpins, i will thread on the bead/s for my design, put the junk bead last then cut the wire. Remove junk bead then make the loop. Also: flush cut pliers make those cut ends prettier IMO.
